EMAK Communications and Civils have successfully delivered major construction projects across Queensland for private sector, not-for-profit, and government clients.

Keep reading to find some examples of previous major construction projects projects carried out by EMAK Communications and Civils. We are proud to deliver infrastructure services to these clients and consider them to be testament to the experience and professionalism of our team.

NBN Rollout (Current)

We have twenty-five EMAK staff working on the NBN rollout between Cairns and Mackay. Over the course of this Project we have installed approximately twenty thousand metres of conduit using directional drilling and open trenching. We have also completed all associated pit upgrades including asbestos removal. To date, we have hauled over one hundred thousand metres of fibre cable in existing and new networks.

WATPAC – Single living environment and accommodation precinct (Past)

EMAK had twenty employees installing the communication and electrical pit and pipe network. In addition to the installation of the copper and fibre networks into five hundred accommodation units, we also installed MATV fibre optics and managed the installation of the NBN Network.

St Hilliers – Wide Bay training facility (Past)

EMAK provided communications systems expertise to the St Hilliers training facility. Approximately ten employees installed fibre and copper networks to service the DESN (Defence Engineering Services Network) and EMS (Environmental Management System) including all termination and testing of fibre and copper network systems.

Baulderstones – Gatton Prison (Past)

Thirty EMAK employees worked on building infrastructure pathways for the communications and security network at Baulderstones Prison in Gatton. This included the usage of a blown and conventional fibre network. This was the first “Super Prison” major construction project in Australia.
